The KDE version of the Fedora atomic Linux distribution. It's what I used to use for my only Linux workstation/gaming rig.

I’m currently using a downstream spinoff called Bazzite. It’s essentially the same thing, but preconfigured for gaming. This makes more sense than you might think, as gaming configuration (latest kernels, scheduling patches, graphics drivers, steam, WINE and Proton) are the components that are the most difficult to get running on an atomic distribution.

In addition to that, Bazzite also provides much better defaults, including the Homebrew package manager and a few others.

I am currently donating money to Bazzite monthly to keep the lights on. The only thing I’m really missing at the moment is a better default GUI. The current one is pretty much default KDE Plasma. Like all default Linux and windows GUIs it looks like ass and it’s very flat, so flat it’s difficult to tell which window is in focus, which widgets are interactive, etc.
